Orange Glow Cake

Do You like citrus?

Yes?

Then you'll probably love this cake.

It was different, I will confess.
It had... a bit of a bite.
That was from the secret ingredient.

Want to know what it is?

Yea?

Well, I have to run to San Francisco for the weekend,
so let me know if your interested in this cake.

Until then... any guesses to what that secret ingredient might be?

You didn't give us a hint, so I will guess cardamom or ricotta cheese. Love orange cakes.

One more guess: maple.
One more: tarraon. (don't you think tarragon would be good in orange?)

You said it had a bite so I am guessing something that made it spicy or zesty like chili pepper.

I have also seen recipes where you blend up a whole orange and put it in muffins, maybe you did that. A whole orange would certainly make a cake zesty and give it some bite.

Or maybe you were invaded by fire ants...those would give your cake some bite ;)

If San Fransisco is a hint, I could guess a sourdough starter is in the cake. Otherwise, I guess buttermilk. Either way, it looks yummy!
