To celebrate such a fun day, I made something that has been talking to me for weeks. Every since I saw these on Bakerella, I've lusted after these. Cake balls! Or for a better sounding treat, I like to call them Cake Bites! They were a must try! I used a confetti cake mix with the confetti white frosting. Half dipped in semi-sweet chocolate and half in white. I really like the semi sweet better then white chocolate, but, I thought they would be prettier dressed in white. I used the sprinkles that came with the frosting for the tops of the white ones.

These were excellent and made my day, just like my awards!

I loved these when I saw them on bakerella too! I just made some this week. I love the confetti cake idea! Something about that cake mix I can't get enough of!

I checked the recipe on Bakerella's site and saw that it used red velvet cake. However, your picture makes me want to use the funfetti cake kind. I bet you could do so much with the flavors!

ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I made these for a bbq we had on Memorial Day last year! They are SO good, and they don't last long. So easy to make, too. The confetti cake ones were my favorite. I also would love to do a lemon/chocolate version, and possibly a red velvet version, just need to figure out the logistics of it.
